Title: You and Parkinson’s – An Animated Patient's Guide to Parkinson’s Disease

Learning Objectives:
- To enhance communications between Parkinson’s disease (PD) patients and their caregivers by increasing understanding of the complexities of their disease, its risk, its symptoms, therapeutic options, management strategies, and health outcomes.
- To explain and contrast the complex evidence-based clinical data and scientific concepts of Parkinson’s disease. Provide greater understanding on the role of different therapeutic agents, deep brain neuro-stimulation, and other interventions – including treatment risks and benefits in disease management – and cover safety issues, side-effects, and the spectrum of management options related to PD.
- To empower patients through effective education on PD to be better partners with their healthcare providers thereby promoting better dialogue between patients and physicians leading to improved health outcomes.
